Art on the Bosphorus Skyline: “Apsu” Video Installation at Izaka Terrace

From 24 - 28 September, “Apsu” will be on view simultaneously at Hall A – Izaka Lounge stand within the Contemporary Istanbul fairground and at Izaka Terrace, overlooking the Bosphorus. Following the fair, the installation will remain on display exclusively at Izaka Terrace for six months. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover this remarkable installation within the fairground, and to experience it once again in a distinct setting at Izaka Terrace, enriched by the unparalleled backdrop of the Bosphorus. Inspired by Mesopotamian mythology, where water is regarded as the “source of life,” “Apsu” explores this element both as a physical and spiritual force. Combining color, light, and motion, the digital installation offers visitors a meditative yet thought-provoking experience. By highlighting the universal symbolism of water, Türkkan invites viewers to reflect on the cycle of life, death, and rebirth from a new perspective.
